First of all, I think it's been so long since my last post that I haven't announced that Josh and I are engaged! So a big woo hoo for that! Second of all, I am so embarrassed about what I did tonight! I know that comes as a huge shock to all of you (that I would do something really embarrassing), but nonetheless...

Okay, I am the CPC VP of Scholarship, which means that I overlook the scholarship programs that go on for Greek women and I help plan Greek Week. So yesterday at exec meeting, Wren asked if some of us could go to a dinner at the Power House after Panhellenic meeting. Me and a couple of other girls said they would go, so I was kind of looking forward to it. I didn't know what this dinner was for or why I was going, so I was talking to Benigno about it. She told me that the dinner was for the transfer leadership board and that Gloria and Gina were going. Then I got really excited because I would actually know people! So I asked Gloria what time the dinner was, and she told me 7:00. When the time rolls around, me and a few other people go to this transfer leadership dinner, which was just for transfers and none of the other CPC girls were there. I'm not a transfer, so when people asked me if I was, I said, "No, I'm with CPC. They wanted some of us to be here." So I eat their food, take a free cup, and win a free t-shirt. Then maybe half an hour later, LaVee came up the stairs and said he had just been singing to this big group downstairs. Then I said jokingly, "Is that where the other CPC girls are?" And LaVee said there were actually a lot of Greeks down there. Then I look at Matt, and he told me that they were having dinner with one of the facilitators for the retreat we're going on this weekend. So I said, "Oh my God!! You're kidding! I'm at the WRONG DINNER!!" I told them I would go down there and tell all the people at my ACTUAL dinner that I accidentally went to the wrong one, but once I got down there, I just couldn't bring myself to go up to them because I was too embarrassed. So I slipped out the side door, and I'm going to tell them tomorrow.

And there you have it. After I ate their food, took a free cup, and won a free t-shirt, I was at the WRONG FREAKIN DINNER!! Ugh. I hate my life.

So I didn't make Southern Style. Oh well! I did my best last night, and I wouldn't change anything I said or did. Everyone who was there is very qualified. Oh the bright side, I will have more free time this summer!!

Also, I got a bunch of cute clothes today!! And they were pretty cheap and fit me PERFECTLY!!

So I DID make it to the second round of Southern Style interviews!! Whoo!! We had them today, and I really did my best. So now if I don't make it to the next round, I will know that there was nothing I could have done to do better.

I'll know by 2:00 tomorrow, so I'll probably make another post then...let's hope it's a happy one!

So the first round of Southern Style selections was yesterday. I think I did ok, not my best. I just hope I make it to the second round. I have a few friends who have already received their email telling them if they have made it or not, but I haven't gotten anything yet. I keep thinking it's because I'm at the end of the alphabet, but maybe it's because i didn't get it.

I wish I could make myself stop thinking about it!!

But anyway, I had my final speech today!! Whoo!! I think I rocked it, but who knows. I'm just glad I'm finished!! Now all I have to do is sit back and listen to other people do their speeches. Whoo!

My mood is always pensive...I need to stop overanalyzing and stressing out!!

So I'm still not sure what to do with my life, and I mean my recent life as in next month. There are 3 things that I really want to do, but I will literally die if I do them all next year:  ADPi Exec, Panhellenic Exec, and Southern Style. All of the applications/interviews are coming up early to mid-November, and I'm not sure which 2 I would like to do most. This is my last year to be at Southern Miss (most likely. I would like to stay longer and get a second major in philosophy, but I don't think my dad will let me). It would be a much easier decision if I were to stay an extra semester because I could do 2 things now and 1 thing next year.

But ANYWAY in even better news I'm 95% sure that I want to go to law school after I graduate. I've been looking at a few places like Ole Miss and Mississippi College (which are places I don't really want to go. I want to practice law in the Virginia/North, South Carolina/ Georgia area) but I'm starting to get attached to the idea of going to William and Mary.

But these are the things that have been on my mind lately. Give me some advice if you have any!

I saw V for Vendetta tonight with Leslie, and it was absolutely amazing.  After the first 15 minutes I was absolutely enthralled with the movie.  I didn't move at all during the movie, and I wonder if I even blinked.  However, I was very pissed that I never got to see "his" face!!

I must say that after watching the movie, I've been on pins and needles.  I'm quite paranoid.  When I got back to Josh's, I heard people opening/closing car doors, and I got my keys between my index and middle fingers ready to attack. 

The movie has me left in a weird state of mind.  I keep wondering about myself and my place in the world.  Would I be able to pull the lever?  Could I withstand what they did? 

Anyway, I really recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.  It was absolutely amazing, and I will definitely watch it again so I can catch all of the little details.

I'm so tired! I've had too much big stuff going on with my schoolwork! I had a speech, a paper, and a test in the same week, and I'm just so tired. I should actually be studying right now, but I really don't feel like it. I would like nothing more than to just lay down and go to sleep. But I think I'll just read through my notes a few times, and I'll be okay on the test. I can't wait for 11:30 tomorrow!

But tonight we had a really fun 50's Diamond sister party. Gloria and I dressed up in black and white striped shirts, red bandanas, blue jean jackets, rolled up jeans, converses, red lipstick, and pouffed hair. We looked so badass!!! And we performed a karaoke version of "Genie in a Bottle" in a competition and got JIPPED. Because our partners in the performance won another contest, we didn't win!! There was such upheaval!

Not to mention right after the party was over, we found out Jayme is engaged!!

I don't really have much to update for except that I am so tired of being busy!! It feels like I ALWAYS have something to do or somewhere to go. I can never just sit down and relax without worrying that I have somewhere to be. It really sucks. I'm just overprogrammed, and I'm about to go crazy!!

AND my dorm room is freakin humid and gross. My bed and clothes are all sticky, and the rugs are constantly wet. It's disgusting.

In other news, Josh got me a corn cob pipe!! It's so ridiculous! I love it!
